Seasonal Information

The following is a short list of key seasonal information related to the maintenance and upkeep our community.

Cromwell Heaters

The Cromwell units have two electric heaters to protect water pipes from freezing, one at the base of the stairs and one in a room behind the closet that has an access panel. The one at the base of the stair is to maintain heat in the entry area and the lower stairway. The one through the access panel behind the closet is to maintain heat in the area to keep the water supply to the unit from freezing in cold weather. Both should be turned on in the early winter and then turned off in the spring to the mid-point of the dial.

Holiday Decorations

If you choose to decorate the outside of your home for Halloween please remove the decorations two weeks after the holiday.
Holiday decorations are permitted from Thanksgiving through January 15. No decorations should be displayed that would damage the buildings or landscaping. Individual homeowners will be responsible for repairs, if any damage occurs.

Holiday Trash Pick Up Schedule

Christmas trees are picked up free of charge through LRS. There are only two disposal dates which are provided by the City of Geneva. Please call LRS at (847) 779-7500 for collection dates. If you miss the collection dates for pick up, it is your responsibility to dispose of the tree accordingly.
Yard waste, including plants and clippings from your potted plants, should be placed in a biodegradable yard waste bag. Yard waste bags require a garbage sticker. The dirt from potted plants is considered garbage and should be included with your regular trash. If you are placing yard waste bags at the curb please notify LRS at (847) 779-7500 at least 24 hours before our regular pick up day so they send a truck to collect those bags.
